Theme III.b: Micromorphological characteristics of plant drugs (vegetal drugs, herbal drugs)

They are formed by cells that have almost completely lost the ability of divide. The cells, which are fully differentiated and are almost always much bigger than meristems, are relatively poor of plasma and are sometimes dead, in the latter case, its interior is often occupied by water or air.
